The Green Lake Neighborhood of Seattle has so much to offer. It is a wonderful neighborhood with restaurants and shops and is located just North of Seattle. Many people are attracted to this area for the close proximity to the City, shops and restaurants and for the park which has 2.8 miles of walking paths where you’ll find strollers, walkers, roller bladers, bikes, and pooches.
The neighborhood also has a freshwater lake within Green Lake Park. It used to flow into Lake Washington prior to the Ravenna Creek being eliminated and used as park space. The park is surrounded by the Green Lake neighborhood to the north and east, the Wallingford neighborhood to the south, the Phinney Ridge neighborhood to the west, and Woodland Park to the southwest.
The Green Lake Park is a place to go throughout the year but is jammed with people in the Summer time. The park has many different activities to best fit your needs. There are soccer fields, Frisbee players, Vollyball games, Tennis Courts, and much more. There is a wading pool for kids and a play area. This is a great place for family, friends and those just wanting to lie on a blanket and read a book.
