365 Things to do in Seattle WA – Day 55 – 2010 Windermere Cup Regatta


This Saturday come out and cheer on the Rowing Teams. All friends of Washington Crew are welcome! Go Huskies!!!

The races are in conjunction with the Opening Day of Boating Season and are followed by the Opening Day Boat Parade. More than 700 rowers compete in this prestigious event, which culminates with the women’s and men’s Windermere Cup races.

Following the races, fans are invited to join the regatta champions for the awards ceremony and presentation of the Windermere Cup Trophy at the Conibear Shellhouse.

Location: finish line area on the north/University side of Montlake Cut.

Gates open at 9 a.m. and Racing begins at 10:20 a.m.

Two choices:

Admission to the event is free and can be seen by land or boat. Please see the information on the relevant pages

Cost is $10 per person (payable at the gate) and includes continental breakfast, grandstand seating, and a fenced viewing area! Parking will be available around Husky Stadium for $15; parking in the large E1 lot will be $7 – Note: Parking will be affected by the Sound Transit construction currently underway
