365 Things to do in Seattle – Day 52 – Rattlesnake Lake
Hey all! Rattlesnake Ridge is a great place for a quick day hike with gorgeous views bring a light weight pack with snacks and water. This time of the year you might need a light jacket if it’s breezy. Hang out for a few hours enjoying the scenery, contemplating life and all it has to offer if you just stop for a moment to enjoy the beauty that surrounds us. This is not in Seattle but only a 35 minutes drive, it’s well worth the experience. It does get packed during the weekends so if you have a free moment during the week I say go for it. Also you can bring a book to read with a view or hanging out below around the lake. The hike itself is a fairly moderate hike with just a few switchbacks and some beautiful viewpoints along the way. Please note that there are extremely steep cliffs at the top so make sure to keep a close eye on the kiddies.
